Election day...

Please remember to go out and vote, it is so important. Polls are open from 7am to 10pm on Thursday 2nd May and you can call us on 01992 479972 if you would like a lift to the polling station or do not know where your local polling station is.

If you have not sent in your Postal Vote there is still time to drop it off at any of the Polling Stations.

Make sure you don't rely on your neighbour’s vote to keep your taxes low!

We are very lucky that we have six excellent candidates across Broxbourne Constituency with:
- Dave Hewitt for Cheshunt Central- Paul Mason for Flamstead End and Turnford- Robert Gordon for Goffs Oak and Bury Green- Mark Mills-Bishop for Hatfield Rural- Tim Hutchings for Hoddesdon North- Alan Searing for Hoddesdon South- Dee Hart for Waltham CrossThey have all worked extremely hard, meeting lots of people to hear directly from them what their priorities are.

I wish them all the very best of luck for election day.

Lady Thatcher

Today is a very sad day for our country with Lady Thatcher passing away. David Cameron put it extremely well when he said that she saved our country and will be remembered as the greatest peacetime prime minister. She quite simply restored this nation back to its best from "the sick man of Europe". She offered a generation the chance to gain wealth and prosperity through buying their own homes and buying shares in British companies. I was immensely privileged to be present at the Houses of Parliament when she unveiled her statue and I will always remember that day. I know that her leadership, courage, and belief in freedom and liberty inspired a generation. I can only hope that we never stop learning the lessons that she taught us. The thoughts and prayers of all of us are with her and her family. On behalf of Broxbourne Conservatives, thank you for all that you did Lady Thatcher. You will never be forgotten and long may your legacy and ideas live on. Paolo

Budget 2013 - The Aspiration Budget

Today, the Chancellor delivered a budget that proves we’re on the side of hard working families. We’re backing workers, savers and home owners. People in this country who want the best for their children and for future generations.
In government, we’re clearing up Labour’s mess and building Britain’s business.

Newsletter and Blue Ball

Please find attached the latest Association Newsletter which was sent to members in August.I would particularly draw your attention to the upcoming hugely fun Blue Ball. We have the pleasure of an excellent guest speaker in the Rt Hon Alan Duncan MP. He is the Member of Parliament for Rutland and Melton and Minister for International Development. He is very outspoken and will no doubt give us an excellent speech along with answering lots of our questions. If you have never been before I would definitely encourage you to come along for a really fun evening!Paolo
